The government of United Arab Emirates (UAE) has imposed a ban on air travellers from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Srilanka and Nepal due to the rise in the number of Covid-19 cases.
News says that the ban on travellers to UAE is imposed due to the worsening situation of coronavirus in Pakistan. Transit flights will also face this ban and it will be imposed from tomorrow i.e. 12th May. The announcement of this ban was announced by the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA).
According to sources, it is said that an exception would be given to the citizens of UAE, diplomats, Golden Visa holders, and businessmen’s jets. However, with the exception, they will have to quarantine for 10 days and take a PCR test at the airport. On the fourth and eighth day of the quarantine, another PCR tests will be conducted.

Furthermore, the NCEMA has also reduced the prior travelling testing period to 48 hours from 72 hours. All the tests will be administrated by the laboratories that are accredited and issue a QR code carrying result.
Pakistan is currently facing the 3rd wave of coronavirus and the situation is slowly getting under control. NCOC has asked the people to follow the SOPs and stay inside.
