In 1983, to encourage literacy in Pakistan and foster reading habits, The Asia Foundation undertakes a major project to provide “Box Libraries” throughout the Pakistan, utilizing buses as mobile libraries.
That specific Book Bus used to stand in a small park in Gulberg, near Main Market.
