Pakistan has started to register people of age 19 and above for Covid-19 vaccination from 27th May (Today). This is taken in the meeting held at National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).
The decision took place yesterday in the meeting under the chief of NCOC, Mr Asad Umar, to vaccinate the people of age 19 and above. Asad Umar said that now the registration is open for the entire Pakistani population.

Earlier, Pakistan opened the registration for age 30 and above on May 16. Further, Asad Umar said that the government is opening vaccination for new age groups as vaccination supplies are continuously improving.
A senior official of National Health Services said,
“27 million people are over 50 years, 12 million falls in the age group of 40-50 years, while 22 million people are in the age bracket of 30-40 years.”
According to the stats, around 39 million people will get benefit after the decision taken in the NCOC meeting. Moreover, Pakistan is one of the very few countries in the world that managed to deal with novel coronavirus very effectively.
