“The project of 38 electric busses for Islamabad has reached the Expression of Interest (EOI) level and the study is under consideration to launch electric train between Islamabad Airport and Murree.”
He vowed that the Capital City will get 38 electric, environmental-friendly busses by the end of December. Furthermore, Islamabad will be the first city of Pakistan to have an electric and environmental-friendly transport system.
Moreover, the Federal Minister said that under the new MOU, the German company will invest in 3 phases; installation of manufacturing plants, bus operations, and the transfer of technology in Pakistan.
Regarding the impacts, the minister said that this is a revolutionary project for the traveling and tourism sector. The announcement of this project is indeed a series of policies of Pakistan’s Govt to launch electric vehicles in the country. As these vehicles are more environment-friendly.
The conversion of our transport system to an electric transport system will have a great impact on the environment. Particularly, it will mitigate the effects of global warming.
As shown above, the Ministry of Science and Technology is doing a wonderful job to make the country’s environment human-friendly. If our environment is pollution-free, then our people will be safe from many hazardous diseases.
