The male celebrities around the world wear nail polish on their fingernails to support the Polished Man Campaign. This campaign aims to sketch a softer side of Pakistani men and to raise awareness against child abuse.
The polished man campaign takes place every year in October. In Pakistan, it took place for the first time as Pakistan faced a huge number of cases of child abuse. To speak against child violence, celebrities from different sectors have stood up. They have joined the international campaign to show their support against child abuse.
This campaign was very successful. It showed to the international community that Pakistani men WILL NEVER tolerate such acts in their country.
Shaniera Akram, spouse of Pakistan’s “Swing ka Sultan” Wasim Akram, used her Twitter account to raise voice for this cause. Furthermore, she made clear that the aim of the Polished Man Campaign is to paint a softer face of males of the Pakistani Nation.
Pakistani nation including showbiz and sports celebrities gave a very good response for the Polished Man Campaign. Many of the people polished their fingernails and posted the pictures on their social accounts.
