PIA surprises the tourists visiting Gilgit and Skardu with special fares.
PIA shared the details of new fares to Skardu and Gilgit from Islamabad via Twitter.
The national flag carrier announced that it will charge Rs 6,915 from passengers travelling Islamabad to Skardu or Gilgit.
The CEO of PIA, Air Marshal Arshad Malik spoke to the marketing team and the airline officials at a review meeting and asked them to ensure the provision of best services to the customers travelling on international as well as the domestic flights.

He instructed the employees to work with solid dedication, hard work, and strength to put back PIA on the road to glory. He hoped to start the betterment of PIA with a new zeal and enthusiasm as the new year starts.
The special fares are introduced due to the sheer weather conditions in the country. It will give a convenient, affordable and accessible travel facility especially to the people of Gilgit Baltistan. These fares will help to continue the tourist activities in the northern areas which are almost stop in these days.
Here, it is important to mention that the Governor of Gilgit Baltistan, Mr Jalal Hussain Maqpoon wrote a letter to the CEO of PIA to lower the fares of air travel to promote tourism in the region. In the light of this letter, PIA lower the fares.
